Spark Plugs - 14mm or 16mm thin-wall socket??

Hey all... I went a bought a set of 4 NGK (!422) ILKR8E6 spark plugs based on what Manic Tunes told me and from reading up here on the forum.

Everywhere I'm reading that I need a thin-wall 14mm 12 pt spark plug socket to do the swap but the NGK (1422) ILKR8E6 spark plugs ARE not 14mm they are 16mm... so now I'm really confused!

So here's the question... am I going to need the thin-wall 14mm, 12pt socket to remove the factory plugs and then get a thin wall 16mm socket to install these new NGK spark plugs??? I think I have to be missing something here or not following directions or something... Can someone whose done this maybe shed some light on what's going on?

Thank you so much... Alex

I believe stocks are 12 point 14mm and NGK's are 6 point 16mm. mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

That matches what I remember.
I can tell you, this one fits the stock plug. I know because I bought it. You'll want another thin-wall socket for the NGKs but I already had one of those.

Depends on what grade plug you install; the NGK plugs we sell are still 12 point 14mm, many of the Champion or equivalent branded plugs are 6 point.
