I have been looking at other threads on how to remove the original scoop on other MINI's and it's the same on my 2012 R58. You first remove the 4 expanded screw clips and pull down the hood pad. Then remove the 1 indentical expanded clip, just like the other 4. Then from the top use a plastic wedge tool and pry up the front left or right corner of the scoop, it will pop the 1st of 5 clips, then the rest is easy, just keep lifting straight up. These pictures will show the position of everything. Then the new hood scoop (after painting Midnight Black) needs the male snaps transferred over and snapped in. Reverse the process.
