R58 What would you like to see MINI change about the Coupe
No iphone. Android for me. I don't see why gauges couldn't be programmed into the system without a phone though. it's just telemetry, right? the car already knows all of that data so it should be able to display it easily enough. My old MINI had the "chrono package" which had oil pressure, coolant temp and something other stuff that I can't remember in place of the center speedo.
Love my Coupe but there could always be improvements:
Satellite radio doesn't let you browse between programmed stations when the song title/artist is displayed. If you do, it selects not your next programmed station but the next one according to chronological station #s (ex: prefer if Alt nation would not skip to Octane which is chronologically next but instead to my next programmed station). My 2009 Jcw clubman with sirius allowed me to do that. And I MISS it! It also sometimes randomly goes to Hits 1 and I can't change it until next time in the car (but maybe there will be a fix for this bug?)
Boot is too heavy. There are gas mechanisms but they are not equipped to open the boot without giving it a little more than a nudge. Very hard to do when your both hands are losing circulation from heavy grocery bags.
Boot is uneven. Sometimes I like the "cooler box" at the back of the boot near the ski pass thru and I like how sometimes it keeps things from sliding back and forth. But I've tried to place a huge cake back there and it could not rest without angling either up or down since the flat space is divided in half.
Sun visor on the drivers side. Yes the roof slopes down but not nearly enough to block the sun. I have no idea how they could attach one with the curved roof but it is still very necessary and I miss it too.
Auto up windows! Or Ian could make another circuit hint hint!
Sunroof/hard top convertible. The latter is much preferred. I tracked and auto crossed my r53, had some track days in my Jcw clubman but now my coupe is all about looks as its my daily driver. Gimme some sun! And if the roof actually moved I would have a response for all those disappointed idiots who realize its not a convertible (duh there are no lines for the roof to fold up...!) and for the other 10% who think they are smartasses for (incorrectly) guessing that it's a targa top.

There's a "turbo muffler"? I've never heard of that. What's it supposed to do? Cut noise?
I made a list of stuff to improve about MINI Connected, but I don't think anyone saw it. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...connected.html

I drive a 2012 JCW, black w/red top and mirrors, black wheels. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. There isn't much I'd change from what others have already said but here goes my list.
Option to keep spoiler up at all times, car looks much better with it up.
This is probably for all Mini's, not just the coupe. Swap the CD player and window controls, I rarely use the CD player but press those buttons regularly. It's almost impossible to roll up the window with a bottle of water or cup of coffee in the cup holder.
Garage Door Opener
Reduce rattles
Sport always on.
Auto up windows.
Persistent Temp, oil pressure, clock
Compass in rearview
Keyless start/entry.

Haven't taken delivery of my roadster but I would assume if the spoiler runs on its own circuit, couldn't you just manually put it up then pull the fuse? The motor would be stuck in the extended position right?
Haven't driven one, but I sat in one while waiting for my mini to be repaired. I noticed there was no dome light on the roof of the hardtop! To me, it felt like mini kinda slapped a cheap hardtop on the car, no wires or thoughts about it.
Also, sun visors don't work at all on the side windows. They hang all funny. Why not put a separate side visor like on the R53? Again, more hints that mini just slapped a cheap roof on the car.
Last, the spoiler isn't very "sporty" looking IMO. It should have some more shape like a JCW, or every other spoiler on the market. I mean, it's just a flat piece of metal.
Also, +1 on the removable hardtop or targa top. Can't stand the look of the cloth roof on The converts. Sorry guys!

But wait, there is (or isn't) more: The seat belt anchors are not on the pillars next to your sholder, and there in no auto window up, because they didn't put pinch sensors into the roof, although they could've.
