Talking How close to equal is the Cooper to the Coupe?

Hey everyone,

I currently own a 2008 MCS, which I enjoy so much. But since I've seen the coupe, now i want one. I'm planning on keeping my cooper s and just pass it to my wife. I'm too attached to this car just to sell it like the others.

I really want to get a JCW or coupe s. But my question is how close is the coupe from the cooper? For example I have the cf hood scoop, cf rear diffuser, and the cf trunk opener, which I would like to take off my current mini and add it to the new coupe. Also the front strut brace, M7 lowering springs, and I just added this week the k&N air intake.

I was reading that the r58 is basically a cooper with the roof chopped and rear seats deleted. But I don't know how true is that.

Sorry if something like this was already posted, I would appreciate your input.

Thanks
Mario

I didn't sell my 2004 MINI Cooper.

I believe all of those items should fit the Coupe. The rear diffuser should fit, I don't think they changed the rear JCW bumper.

Great so that means I can use some of the same upgrades that I have on my R56.

I have grave doubts about the lowering springs transferring to good effect.

The following link is to a brilliant and knowledgeable review of the handling of the S and JCW Coupes.

Well on some parts it was mentioning that the r58 is almost an exact match to the r56. Because the engine is the exact same so I'm assuming the tranny and suspension should be the same as well. At least for the front part, who know on the rear of the car.
