Key Oddity - Update: More of a dash lighting & function issue

Still trying to get some drive cycles in to get the sensors to ready status so it'll pass inspection.
Grabbed key #2 to run it around the neighborhood a bit.

Windows inop
Dash lights inop
Blinker tick inop
Red 'car on lift' icon kept popping up in the tach
No dash lights with the lights on
But the door locks work

Pulled up to an office with all windows in the front. Lights & blinkers work, but the triple blink 'lane change' didn't.

Got home & grabbed the other key, and all is normal.
What would cause 1 key to give lots of inop behavior, while the other works fine?

Did it again tonight, with what I thought was the good key.
About 8 miles into a 20 mile loop. All cluster & speedo lights went out, no blinker tick or self cancel, no high beam indivator & the window switches were inop.
Red car on lift icon persistent on the tach display, comes back after clearing it.

And a 3rd time, this time I took both keys & got no change with either. So it's not a key issue.
Happened about the same time too, about 6-8 miles into a drive. Red Mini on a lift icon, then about 30 seconds later, all dash illumination [tach & speedo] quit, along with the above items being inop [to add in no reverse lights]

Bumping this, as I plan to have this on the road by this weekend.
Won't see a ton of night driving, but it's definitely not convenient to have everything go down while driving. Unsure if it'll affect the top, as I didn't try to operate it when this has happened.

Sounds like a possible failing footwell module, unfortunately...

From reading on here, that was my leading suspicion.
Are these generally plug & play replacements, or do they need to be programmed?

I need to pull them again, now that I have a couple hundred miles on the road.
