Battery replacement question (Please help!)

Hey all,

— Right out of the gate, I have no MINI dealer within 150 miles, so that's not really an option right now, and our local BMW dealer won't even touch it. —

It's time to replace the vehicle battery but I'm not sure how to go about "coding" the ecu for the new battery. I do have a Schwaben OBDII scanner tool, but I've never done anything like this before. If I understand correctly, the Schwaben scanner tool does have the ability to do what the dealer does for this job. Have any of you ever done this on your own? What is the process?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Unless you have the “IBS” intelligent battery sensor on the negative cable, coding is not needed. Just swap the terminals and go about your business.

Thank you for this. I'll run through my Schwaben to see if I come across similar options.
