Convertible top care/preservation
Having seen convertible tops get "raggy" over the years, I am wondering if you all have tried and had success with any type of product to prevent this. Convertible tops can be VERY pricey to replace. I purchased a product called 303 that claims to preserve convertible tops, but the instructions include masking off the entire car, minus the top, meticulously cleaning the top, then applying this product. They say to NOT get this product onto painted or chromed surfaces. Has anyone used this 303 product, and, if so, how meticulous were you with the masking of your paint/chrome? It seems like a lot of effort. Anyone have an experience to relate?

I've used the 303 product, but I guess that I didn't read the instructions very well because I didn't mask anything off. No issues with the paint, but I was pretty careful when put it on.
The product has worked well....unless it's a heavy downpour the water beads up....even after being on for a year.
