WHY..?

When I show my new Mini to someone they feel they have to rub their finger on the surface and say Oh look how shinny it is. OR push down on the bonnet to feel the suspension (that's a new one). I almost had to dance on a guys head last night....he's pushing the front end down checking it out. I suggested he kicked the tires next. Don't get me started.

Evidently not enough people had parents like mine that taught "Look but don't touch" <or> "See with your eyes - not your hands". That drives me batsh*t too! I can almost bank on it when I spend an entire day detailing my car someone will come up to it and run their greasy nasty hands down it. Now, when he pushed down on the bonnet I'd have come un-glued!

When I was in California I had some old muscle cars and showed them at "The Good Guys" events. I ordered some stickers that said, "Please do not touch, I'm not that kind of car". Wish I still had some...

I prefer the stickers that say "don't touch unless you are naked" but it does leave you open for a gross hairy adventure... haha!
