So Week 10 starts on 3/1, a week to go. We're down to the last 7 days before it's our turn to see our Mini go down the assembly lines.

Who else is a Week 10?

So if you're a Week 10, you should call 1-866-ASK-MINI and ask them for a status updated for your production number.

Week 10 Minis may have been allocated VINs yesterday as well as the exact date for when it hit the assmbly line.

I was told my VIN was assigned at 7:24am on the 24th of Feb (GMT time I guess), and that my exact date for build is on the 4th of March, right in the middle of Week 10.

Also it may take 2 to 3 days for Owners Lounge to be updated with your VIN.

Someone on the OL Forum reported that it took 6 weeks from when it went on the line to when it arrive at the dealership, so here's hoping for a mid April 2009 date for when my Mini is in my hands.

i don't know about VIN # yet, but AM told me today that my Week 10 build slotted car, started production yesterday. and should be completed by the 4th of March too.

I'm going to try very hard to just ignore the OL and calling my MA. I hope to have the will power to just sit and wait for the phone call from him to tell me that my car is sitting on the lot, ready for me.

I'm tired of thinking about it. it went from excitement to annoying.

So if your build started yesterday, that makes your Mini a week 9, as Week 10 officially starts on March 1st. I'm guessing what the dealer said was what Mini told me as well. The body/frame was identiifed yesterday for all Week 10 cars, and VINs assigned appropriately. Those body pieces are now put together by the robots (you can see the videos on the OL web site), and what happens on the 4th is the actual assembly of all the body panels, and interior options that you ordered.

Either way, we should be receiving our Mini's around mid April I hope, late April the latest. Counting down the next 6 week which will be the longest 6 weeks I'm sure.

So Week 10 build are now done or that's what ASKMINI told me this morning. I should see my R57 in about 4 to 6 weeks.

My Week 10 is now in "Awaiting Transport", so maybe it'll arrive on the West Coast for the Launch Party on the 28th of March...
