Bike Rack Prep, and Chrome Mirror Caps

If you haven’t noticed the convenience package includes the bike rack prep kit, this prevents the addition of the aero kit, the configurator allows the addition of the JCW aero kit but I have no confirmation from my MA it can be installed either. Furthermore the premium package also prevents the aero kit to be added, this is because of the exterior chrome kit. By the way the exterior chrome kit includes chrome mirror cap, so if you add the premium package you get chrome mirror caps.
I am one that could care less about a bike rack kit, also chrome mirror caps not for me.
This is for the R57 and the JCW cabrio too

Also, the JCW Steering Wheel option removes the MFSW option if you do not choose the premium package. My MA confirmed that is a bug.

This problem of the Premium pack and/or convenience pack not allowing for the AeroKit has bugged me since the configurator was updated for the R57. I have one on order but have decided that I will probably get my " aerokit" done after receiving the car. It costs 1250 from MINI but only 500 dollars from the local BMW authorized dealer/garage (using BMW/MINI certified paint colors). I saw one of their AC Schnitzer MINIs where they did just that, prep and paint over the stock bumper and side skirts...it looked excellent.

My concern is that whether you get the aftermarket job or even the factory AeroKit, the problem of paint flaking or chipping has been posted quite alot. It almost makes me not want the AeroKit or Aerokit look just to avoid the frustration of it not lasting more than a few months.

I would make sure that bike rack prep won't get in the way...

Nice Install. So that's a MINI Cooper with an aftermarket bike rack setup. You did not order the bike rack prep right? I wonder if this works for MINI Cooper S models as well?
