R56 What would you do?
Photos man!
Oh, and you should really give a thank you call back to the Mini brass - and while you have their ear make sure you put in a word for your bro waiting on a MFSW and dash storage box. :(

Hi gang. Just got back from my big 2 hour test run and then some photos. I'll post them shortly.
In the meantime, I was to reassure everyone that
1: I did contact the Mini brass as soon as the rental car was arranged for. That was really my biggest issue, as it was so simple to figure out "the right thing to do" on that, the reason why it so frustrated me that it was any kind of issue at all... But, thank yous have been sent.
2: My MA, who has been wonderful, will not see those issues outside his control... (which was really ALL the issues) reflect negatively upon him when the CSI survey comes around. The MAs live/die by the surveys, and my MA definitely deserves to live. :-)
The only 2 hiccups with my pickup were that, after doing the hardware install of the ipod adapter, the service department realized they needed a newer version of the car's software for the iPod adapter to interface with the SatNav. Oops. A disc will be at the dealer by mid-week, or so I'm told. From there it's a 20 minute service. And maybe a car wash?
They also forgot to give me my sunscreen for the windshield. I can likely survive without it until I go back for the iPod service.
I'll post more with my pics, but overall I'm loving the car. The Sat Nav is amazing, and it seems to be developing some syngery with my music selections, as it seems like melodies crescendo as I open up the engine, and twice now (in 4 hours of driving time) a song has ended and the Sat Nav has said, "You have arrived at your destination" as I come to a stop. Creepy, yet utterly impossible not to giggle at. i'm sure it's just a coincidence, but still...
The fan runs a long time after turning the car off. I'll get used to that. I also am having no luck getting the universal garage door opener to work.

What do you mean by sunscreen?
