Yes, they all leave Southampton. If you don't make a WW ship (Courage, Integrity, etc.) there are other shipping lines that transport MINIs. I was on a K-Line ship (Frisia) that has no VIN tracking, etc. I just want you all to be upset if you don't make this ship--or any other WW ship. Look at ALL the scheduled departures for Southampton AND the ALL scheduled arrivals at your VDC port.

 

We're on the radar!

I just checked (checked 10x yesterday nothing). It shows we're due to leave on the Carmen. It only says received at terminal. Maybe the Carmen isn't there yet?

The only radar I could find so far is the local Southamton radar.....She is out off the south coast of England. She will be off screen probably in a few hours.

Just leaving the Celtic Sea.

Now we can "obsessively" track our MINIs all next week. Perhaps we can hope the sea currents will help push Courage along a bit faster.

Now how can I find the "Carmen". Too generic of a name. Its due to dock and load at Southampton tomorrow. I wonder if it will be a couple days before it can be tracked?

My MINI was built on 4/22.

I was a little rusty on the tracking tools...I was on the AIDA back in early 2003.

 

its still has a ways to go...its in the SCOTIA SEA...

i haven't done this much geography since grade school...

washed my old hyundai tiburon today and took pics to put up on auto trader...i have to sell it in 15 days or less...or else i will be paying two car loans...UGH

 

I know...I have to start thinking about my detailing supplies since I'll soon have to support two MINIs!!! You'd think I'd care but I'm actually looking forward to it...the '03 IB/W only has 48.5K on it!

Funny thing all this was supposed to transpire in October...but circumstances intervened. I'm so excited...and having flashbacks from my wait in early '03 (2.5 months)!

Short answer....you betcha!! No, my '03 (pics in gallery) is now being driven by my 21 y/o daughter, although I do get to "borrow it" occasionally until my new MINI arrives.

A trick I am unlikely to pull off with Oxygen Blue (nor you w/ NFR). In '03 the MINI was new and diecast was showing up all the time...in the original colors, of course. We'll be lucky to see our special new Cooper-only colors out on the roads, much less in die-cast.

 

Sucks. We were slated to go on the Carmen and now it appears they left our baby at the dock and it won't go for another week.

 

At least you're at the dock. I'm still in quality control as of yesterday and MINI was finished last Thursday. I guess some extra QC can't hurt.

Hi all, I just got off the phone with 866-ask-mini. They said mine was completed on April 29. Now for the trip from Oxford to Oxnard!
