Air Conditioning challenge

First couple of warm days here - automatic climate control set to 68F (outside is 80ish) - the fan remains on one above the lowest settings and the car does not get cold till I hit Max AC - my other cars start with high fan and then go down after a while.

Any of you got similar experiences?

My experience with the auto ac has been similar to your description of your past vehicles - fan starts out high and then gradually lowers itself. The temperatures I've used it in haven't been nearly as extreme (i.e. mid 60s outside and 68deg desired temp inside).

Doesn't sound normal. :/

Are your windows down? There are position sensors that will lower the fan speed when the windows are down.

Make sure that you've actually pressed the "AUTO" button and that the light turns on. If it's not, it could be on manual control which would explain why it doesn't cool off until you press the AC button.

I've noticed that the auto A/C thinks it's cool enough when it isn't. On a hot day, I have to turn it down to lower temps for the rest of the car to get cool.

I have a feeling the sensor is in a bad spot.
