R56 Official Oxygen Blue Owners Club

Did you order from NWMINI?? What are your specs. I see the White Rims...what other goodies you got??
Thanks, Miss Molly -- yes, I ordered from NWMini. This is my second mini, previously had a chili red & white 05 MC that I sold to get this one. I do have the white wheels, convenience, cold weather, premium packages, white bonnet stripes, rock shield (but I recently got a small rock chip on the hood just above the rock shield!). Not much else -- waiting to do more mods after warranty period. Added third brake light pulsar, shorty antenna.
Welcome catlvr2! You found your rightful place here. Nice looking OB you got there. Can we see a pic or two of your decal? That's cool--love the concept!
RJ--first your birthday, then Miss Molly's?? Wow--you had a quite a week, didn't you? You should probably take the rest of the year off, dontcha think? Congratulations to you both--you certainly seem like you were made for each other!
wannab, are you going to MINIs on Top? If so, I think we should practice stalking techniques. I think most MINI owners would be OK with it. In fact, a week or two ago, I was in one of our larger grocery stores before heading home after work. Of course, I parked in the 'nosebleed' section of the parking lot. When I came out an hour or so later, there was another MINI parked next to mine. It had VA plates on it. I really had to get going; otherwise I probably woulda waited for 'em...

I think that fits us very well.
She is one sweet ride and I couldn't imagine my world without her!! I finally got around to installing the LightInSight the correct way, it really works nice, no more craning my neck to see those sneaky stop lights.
Hey, I got one of those LightInSight dealies from my MA. Now if I can only find it, I think you've convinced me to get it mounted! Glad to hear it works so well.
I hear ya RJ! I had the pleasure of driving to a meeting today, twisty roads and everything--ahh, what a joy!

I do have fun...I can't say I don't push her on occassion, but to have Twisties involved too. That would be the ULTIMATE!! Yeah, I'm a Blonde @ Heart I guess!!
You just have to not worry about the LightInSight Logo and you'll be fine, I think that's where I got confused!!
Welcome Catlvr2! Nice graphic!
Bruiser got his first proper bath today! My Prima products arrived right on time and I was able to wash, clay (sort of) and epic wax him! He looks amazing, even better than when I picked him up from the dealer. I will post pics once my husband downloads them. This was my first time to ever wax a car, and it was so much fun!!! RJ you would be proud!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather down here was amazing, 85 degrees and slight overcast. Perfect for washing a MINI!!

Looks good CooperDreams (but 'tis a bit small to inspect closely). Hey, that looks like the MINI I crossed paths with the other day. But probably not. I was in western NY on a cruddy, foggy, poor visibility day--nowhere close to Round Rock TX. In any event, good for you folks that have been able to give your MINIs the royal treatment. Unfortunately I got sick over the last few days so mine is still kinda skanky....
I had to make an Emergency Trip down to the PHX area last week and now Molly has almost 15,000 miles on her. She won't be a Year Old until
April 19th (Delivery Anniversary).
Oh well, I had FUN in PHX, my old stomping grounds, and got to see alot of Family and Family Friends.
My Round Trip Mileage was 2730, doesn't count the driving in town once I got there.
I drove down on a Tuesday, stayed in Valencia, CA, a 13.5hr. drive, then into Phoenix on Wednesday, 6.5hrs. I cruised at 10+ the whole time and not a peep from the Men in Blue.
I drove back on Sunday, stayed in Firebaugh, CA, 8.5hrs, then back to Vancouver, WA, 11.5hrs.
Everyone loved seeing Molly, both my Dad and Brother got to ride in her as Passengers and thought she was really C@@L. I even kicked on the Sport Mode for my Brother and showed him how tight she can take the corners!!
I made my Sister-in-Laws Brother JEALOUS!!! He drives a Bimmer, but was DR@@LING over Molly!!
She's gonna' get some much needed/deserved pampering and primping this Weekend!!

totally feel ya! i have about 13500 and mine will be a year on May 15.
Hey everyone--feels a wee bit like spring (or at least it's been a wonderful break from winter, for as long as it lasts)! RJ, heckofa trip that sounds like. I can only imagine how much fun you had. That's some quality time with your MINI--who could ask for anything more?
Unfortunately, I've still been dealing with this crud, now going on the third week! Finally went to the doctor today and got some Rxes for it. Hopefully this'll kick it in the pants. But the weekend wasn't all bad. I got to drive the MINI 150 miles each way to go see my sister. Other'n feeling lousy, a great weekend for a drive! Teds MINI has just over 12,000 miles on it; it won't be a year old (to me) until August 30!
Hope everyone's enjoying the rebirth of warm weather MINI driving!

Hey y'all! Spring is trying to arrive here. The snow banks are dwindling so I can actually see up and down the street again when backing out of my driveway! I long for summer.
Lucy is still my most favorite car ever. I've been able to open the sunroof a few times and enjoy some sun and am trying to get in the habit of hitting the sport button now that the roads are clear and ice-free. I'd love to be able to go on a long road trip with her (and Baxter), but that won't happen until late May.
She is three months old and has just over 1,900 miles. I don't drive much.
I haven't done a hand wash at home yet, but hopefully soon.
C'Mon Summer!

FINALLY! I can post pics in this thread! My MINI showed up at the dealer a day early, so I ran out there tonight to take some first pics.
I have to thank all of you for helping me decide on Oxy Blue. I was originally going to get an S, and I was dead set on Laser Blue, but when I drove a regular Cooper, I thought "I don't need an S, this has plenty of getup for me" but then had to decide between Lightning and Oxy, since Laser was S only. Thanks to all your pics and comments, I went with Oxy and couldn't be happier! I'm glad I went back to a non-metallic - easier to keep clean, doesn't show the dirt as much (or god-forbid, scratches). And it's SOOO retro looking, and I'm an interior designer specializing in mid-century modern, so this color has me written all over it!
So everyone say welcome to "Ianto" (pronounced Yanto) - I'll post up more pics when I take delivery on Saturday (after I spend the day motoring anywhere and EVERYWHERE!)

My computer died in early January, so I wanted to appologize for being away! I just recently got a new one. Dr. Horrible just turned 1000 miles today, almost out of the break in period! I'm thinking a road trip is in our future
that's awesome wannab...I am already closing in on 1600, but I mainly drive to and from work - mostly highway for only 12 miles one-way. My husband gets to drive it on the weekends, and it never fails that those are the really fun trips to drive! Oh well, I guess he deserves a little enjoyment out of Bruiser too! I hope Spring comes your way soon...We have had several bad storms down here. A really bad hail storm on Wednesday that I barely missed. I pulled into our garage about 10 minutes before the storm hit. I was really sweating it! I think I'd cry if Bruiser had been beaten up.
Several of my friends got caught in the storm and had windows broken out. It was really bad. All of our friends and family called to check on Bruiser instead of us! Fortunately, Bruiser was safe!

Congratulations Atomic17! Yup--that Oxygen Blue is hard to beat, isn't it? Ianto looks great--well done!
Glad to hear everyone is surviving / thriving well. That sounds like too close a call, CooperDreams. Glad Bruiser is safe and sound. It would be horrible if...well, we won't even go there!
Welcome back Rainforest Elf! You too wannab! Last year about this time I was just getting interested in the MINI; now I'm really (REALLY) looking forward to Motoring this spring. In fact, next weekend, there's a 'Pancake Run' in our part of the world. This one sounds like it can't be beat--driving hither and yon for yummie homemade pancakes with REAL maple syrup. NY has its' issues for sure, but one of the best things to come out of this state in my opinion is maple syrup. Once you've had the real stuff, nothing else compares. For those who want to drool, here's a link to the pancake house: http://www.cartwrightsmapletreeinn.com/ .
Anyway, happy spring to all and Happy Motoring to my fellow O2Bers!

Great looking MINI Atomic! Everyone looks pleased as punch; glad it all worked out smoothly for you. No doubt you'll LOVE driving your MINI--enjoy all your upcoming adventures! I frequently (kind of) encounter other MINIs, but rarely other O2Blues. You'll stand out even in a crowd. Motor On!
