very nice interior!!! In your opinion, are the black lounge seats worth $1900??? very nice!
I can't answer for the black seats... but I will say the red ones are worth it... definately!
If I would have seen the Leatherette in person before I ordered, I would have gone that route. They looked horrible in the only pics I had seen when I had to order. In person they're pretty nice. Kind of stiff and plain, but for a black, low maintinance interior, it's OK.
After recieving my car and spending the last couple weeks driving around and enjoying it day-to0day... GET THE LOUNGE LEATHER (whatever color you may choose). It's acyually well worth the extra dough for sure. It's the one MINI splurge I sure now I will never regret.
Here's my R56's interior: base leatherette with base checkered trim. The only option related to interior is the MFSW! I dig it overall, and I like the checkered trim much more than I expected.

I was going to get the regular leather, and went with the lounge leather after seeing (and feeling) the seats at the local (German) dealership. That was a euro-spec model, and has the pleats in the seating surface instead of the forward edge. Compare R56MCS' seat pictured above to mine.
In hindsight, I probably would have chosen the "plain" leather seats instead of the lounge.
Why would you have chosen "plain" instead? Do the pleats in the foward edge bother you at all, in not being comfortable? I am trying to make the same choice right now and liked the leather feeling of the one you got too. I also like the white edge around the seat.

Comfort wise, no issues. I like the look of the pleats in the seat area on the euro-spec, as it matches the seatback. It is a "nicer" quality leather... not that the "standard" is bad. Sirloin or Filet...
I actually don't like the white piping, but it's not that big of a deal.
The only thing that kept me from ordering black lounge was they weren't the Euro spec. I love the look of the stitching in the seat instead of the front leg bolster. I ended up with the cloth, IMO the second best choice.
Oh, and by the way, I'll have pics of my interior in a day or two. I've got two pictures in my gallery that my daughter took when I picked up the car yesterday, but they don't show enough.
OK, so the Gotham Grey, does that give you the lighter colored door panels? I do like the look of that, but I had no idea. It really makes me realize how bad the interior portion of the on-line configurator is. The leatherette looks awful for instance. I really wish more members would post pictures of their interiors. I think there is just so much variety.

Yes, the Gotham Grey gives the door panels and in fact all the side panels a very light grey that's just a shade darker than the standard headliner. I picked it hoping it would give the interior a more spacious feel. I was very pleased with the result, because it does just that. I took a chance though, because I ordered it based on the configurator, which leaves much to be desired.
