the price increase is natural as years increase too isn't it? like the gas prices, i remember having a full tank for $18 a midgrade fuel now a full tank is $25 for the lowest grade fuel. the years go forward so are the prices. yes. our kids are doomed. (not that i have a kid)hmmmm

True, but in constant dollars gas is actually cheaper today that in was 20 or 30 years ago. I understand prices go up - the question is whether the Mini's are going up faster or slower than the rest of the car industry.

That sounded steep to me too, but I didn't remember suffering as much over the decision to add the multifunction wheel as I'd think $550 would have caused me to, so I checked on the Configurator, and it's listing it at $350. I also looked on the pricing sheet the dealer gave me for the mini I ordered a couple weeks ago, and it lists the wheel upgrade at $350.

Did you accidentally type $550 a couple times when you meant $350 (and think $350's still way too much -- which is certainly arguable), or did the price drop by a couple hundred bucks?

Nah. We don't do that anymore.

That depends if you are comparing sticker price or street price. The '06 I bought about 2 months ago cost me $2K less than the identically equipped '07 I had on order. The stickers were similar ...but one was negotiable and the other not.

Unless you are seriously doing it for the lulz, R53 Vs R56 flame wars are hard to come by.
