So here is the video I promised of the Sat Nav in action. It's a four minute video of the MINI being started, Voice Control in use (my gf's voice), manually entering destinations, and the entertainment. Enjoy!
It doesn't seem like we will get a British voice. The voice control prompts are spoken by a man, but the directions are given by a woman. Strange, but adds variety. I just wish there was a way to choose one or the other.
Your father tells you what to do next, and your wife gives you directions. Trying to make it realistic, I guess. :impatient
Now that's a GREAT looking car. Sure wish those who review these cars would be provided MCSs with the NAV package. Maybe we'd stop having to read all the snide comments about the hokey overly large speedometer and instead hear about the great looking Nav system / Speedometer combination.

True. I got nothing against the large speedometer, but the NAV is pretty nice.

I don't have a cell, so no, I have yet to check out the feature. Other than that it works great (well, once I can get it to mate with the mac software - seems they know each other is there, but they refuse to talk.) On the phone with tomtom in a bit...
oh, the traffic needs your cell to 'call' for updates if you will....
Per TOMTOM............Please note that to use TomTom Traffic, you must have a wireless data connection. Also, your mobile service provider may charge you for using this service.
Plus, TT charges 39.95 for the year of service just to have 'it' - blah..
