Exactly....buying off the lot is simply not an option for me (and quite a few others) right now.

Oh sure, that can be fun, too. It's just that dealer cars tend to have more options (and therefore a higher price)...but not always. I just witnessed such a transaction recently and believe me, it was definitely fun!!!

I pick up my car Thursday. Cost 30K a similar car loaded up with dealer installed items life Teflon Coating, window tint, and assorted baubles is 32K with no leather, no moon roof, no sport suspension, no limited slip, and no zenon. So, here at least buying a current in stock may be quicker, but seems but cost more.
