R56 What options did you order?
-Sport pkg because of the value of what you get in it, esp HIDs and 17's
-Cold Weather pkg because I live in Michigan and will be driving the car year round.
-Sport suspension because let it be installed right there on the line.
-LSD, same as above reason and its a real value BTW.
-Auto A/C because of convience and just as important, it looks better!
-Auto Dimming rear view because the garage door opener is intergrated.
-Chrome interior/exterior pkg's because it finishes the car out nicely, check out one with and w/o and you'll be glad you spent the extra money
-Leatherette because it looks like leather and feels like leather BUT, doesn't smell like leather and if you've got the extra $1900.00 GET IT because combined with the chrome interior trim, it really gives the Mini and uplevel feel and look. BTW, if you go with the Loungewood Red, pay the extra $500.00 for the Loungewood Red trimmed steering wheel and shift and e-brake boot, you'll be glad you did
-Rear foglights because its not expensive, serves a purpose and fills in the spot where they're supposed to be. Look at a car that you see everyday that has an opening for front foglights and doesn't have them, doesn't that look cheap?!

Hi,
Pondering getting 2007 or 2008 MCS....of course I'll most likely get one in the end.
I've determined my must-haves and nice-to-haves:
Must Haves:
- Manual (the ONLY way to drive!
)
- LSD
- Sport Package (DSC & Xenon headlight)
- No sunroof (add unnecessary weight, especially when there's no cover/shade to block out light)
- Auto AC
- Cruise Control (I love taking long road trips
)
- Audio upgrade (but no Sirius/XM)
- CD changer (for driving music, obviously
)
Nice to Have:
- BRG/W (Ok, it's almost a Must-Have....)
- Cold weather package
- Auto-sensing wiper/headlights
- Auto-sensing rear mirrors
- Rear Fog lamps

OK, I went nuts.
I ordered a Chili Red 2007 MCS to replace my Chili Red 2005 MCS. I got tired of selecting options and just picked everything except the JCW stuff. Leather seats, nav, mats, Anthricite headliner, all packages plus folding-heated mirrors and iPod adaptor. I don't think there is a single option I didn't order (except JCW and roof racks and the like.)
Total? Just over $36,000. Good thing my current one has held it's value so well.
