My first Mp3 CD for the new MINI!

So I've never had a car that could play MP3 cds. I figure it would be a great idea to have some MINI music in the car all the time. I am burning a disc that has MP3 format files from the following artists/soundtracks

U2
Dave Mathews Band
Dido
Moby
Seal
Italian Job Soundtrack
Torchwood Soundtrack
Miami Vice Soundtrack

Once the disk is done, I am going to pop it into the radio and see what it does. I'll report back in a bit!

Ok.
This is totally cool! Just when I think I've figured out everything the MINI can do, I find something new! MP3 cds... Arrange one hundred or so of your favorite songs in folders, burn into a cd with Nero Burning ROM, pop the disc into your MINI and you have the equivalent of a free cd changer! MP3 titles scroll on the radio screen, you can navigate through folders, choose tunes, etc. I even created a special MINI cd label with the logo and everything. Gotta love a car company that thinks of everything.

Not to discredit mini, but most car radios do this these days.

My '03 4Runner couldn't do it. They added that a year later.

I just wish it would do data DVDs for this and then I'd skip the iPod altogether. But I figure it won't, because it warns against using combo CD/DVD disks, saying they could jam.

Well, that and if it did do it, I suspect they'd say so...
