MINI the book

Greetings everyone,

Just wanted to pass along a book recommendation for those interested in Minis and MINIs. It's "MINI. The Book"... the official one put out by BMW's MINI brand management division:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/389...136307-5784845

I got mine through Amazon and I have to say its about the best $27 I've spent on MINI stuff to date. It's a brand new publication, so the R56 if featured throughout. A ton of information and photos. Much of it is availible and we've all seen elsewhere... bot if your a book type of person like me, it's nice to have it all in one place. I got mine today and it's awsome!

Does it prefer the R65 or earlier versions more?

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Books, books, books

Thanks for the recommendation! Im a real book geek and needed an excuse to get another book. I just got a Mini book the other day myself. Its main focus is on the classics which I wanted to know more about. So far, its pretty good! Here's the cover and a link:

Prefer? I haven't read every page, word for word... but it appears to be more of a referance book versus a review of the product.

It would be detrimental to customer relations for BMW to offer a preferance, don't you think?

As far the amount of space devoted to the various lines, it's about %50 classic, 30% Gen 1 BMW, and 20% Gen II (R56 AND Clubman).

I was joking!

Of course it would be odd for BMW to offer a preference between their own vehicles - except maybe to recommend people always buy their newest model.
