R56 It should be a sin to do this to MINIs
Both of the MINIs used in that were Coopers, and many of the "valuable" parts were removed from them. They were basically stripped down of their insides. Neither of them were JCW.
This video / challenge was done around 2 years ago and was actually done somewhere in Denton, TX (or somewhere in that general area).
The first one they launched, it started spinning off the launch ramp because one of the rockets attached did not fire, which caused it to have uneven propulsion.
The 2nd one, flat out flew. It had 1 big rocket engine on the back end. I can't remember exactly how far it flew, but it was a considerable distance.
I think the challenge was to make the MINI fly at least 100 yards, fly through the crossbars of the goalpost and deploy the parachute.
The 1st MINI didn't accomplish 2 of the 3 main objectives while the 2nd one took care of all 3.
