Oil Catch Can

i m new member of 07 Mini Copper S, and this is my 1st turbo car. i just wonder if i add an oil catch can, will it help the performance and the maintenance of my car?

When hooked up properly, Catch Can's help to collect the evaporative emissions and PCV gunk that would otherwise be sent through the intake manifold and burnt by the engine. They may help curb slight performance reduction over, say, 100,000 miles of gunk buildup. While they're not a bad idea, they're not strictly necessary.

That's my take on the subject,

so maybe a better question would be does anyone make one specifically for the R56 and its gotta also come with detailed and simple installation instructions?

and diagrams and pictures?

Not yet; though I'd expect ALTA to be pretty close to having one available. That said, catch cans are relatively universal, especially if you know what lines to plug into.
