Will my Aero kit be painted at the Port? If so does that mean I'll have no input regarding how it's done. For example, I saw that the rear diffuser on the Yellow Detroit car is painted yellow, but the original JCW photos show it in black. There is a big difference in the effect that it gives, and I much prefer the black. MA can't tell me about details of Aero kit fitting yet. Anyone have more info about this?

Your aero kit will be painted at the VPC in Port Hueneme, but as far as the color goes I've never heard of there being an option for the color. I can't imagine why they would paint it the body color. You might find better answers on Mini2, since some of their members already have their vehicles.

Matt mentioned your stress regarding this issue yesterday.

So for the cost of the JCW Aero, painting should not be figured into the cost of the labor on the kit when the dealer does the install? Is that definite?

You're probably better off buying the jcw aero kit from a vendor unpainted, and take it to a body shop to get it painted the way you want it. There's a good chance you'll end up saving money that way too. I've seen people on the mini2 forums getting pretty good discounts on the aero kit.
