Thanks for the detailed list R56MCS - especially since it looks like you may have typed it from the the service book!
I suspect this info may be a very helpful service to many members of NAM
Servicing is by the service indicator in the rev counter not by mileage and is known as Condition based Servicing (CBS)

The MCS service book gives the floowing actions to be taken as indicated.
I'm so used to seeing a maintainence chart that perscribes what actions are necessary every so many months or miles. Knowing the frequency allows one to plan/schedule/budget accordingly. Do you have any idea how often the average/typical MCS owner will need to bring their car in for service?

Are there any specific service requirements for:
  • The turbo/intercooler
  • The optional: LSD, Stability control, or Xenons?
  • Those of us who plan to keep our cars on the road for 100k to 300k miles?
Thanks again!!!!

This is indeed from the service book, there are no specific things mentioned in this or the owners manual for the turbo, LSD or xenons and thinking about it I cannot really see what would need doing as preventative maintenance.

The service indicator, which displays briefly every time you start the car, has a number of messages it can display using different colours and indicators. These tell you what needs to be done. The service book itself has tick boxes for what work was done and at what mileage.

As the above states that statuatory insepctions are programmed in the pre delivery service I assume that these will be annual checks. If you have the TLC pack the 1st of these is included.

Check the TLC pack and what you get in it as this has changed from the R53 to the R56.

I expect services to appear about every 20k miles, based upon the TLC package.
