Accolades for R56
Over on Autoblog there was a post about the Golden Steering Wheel Awards given by the German newspaper, Bild am Sonntag. MINI won the award for the best compact car and an R56 was depicted on the site. There weren't many details on the newspaper's website, but apparently these awards are a fairly big deal for manufacturers. The Autoblog post with a link to the German website can be found here.
MINI was also included on the list of the World's Most Beautiful Autos as chosen by a panel of car designers and artists at the 22nd Annual International Automobile Festival.
(I noticed the Volvo C30 was also included in both of the above lists as well. I love that car

17. understand where the festival was at. france. these are the people that think hairy armpits and no deodorant is cool.
