I'm glad, I had read they were about to drop it. I like the convertible a lot.

The VW Beetle was meant to be around for 10-12 years, or at least that's what VW's president said in 1998 when it was released. So, 2008 to 2010 is when it'll be phased out. The sales have really plummeted, thanks in part to the mini, and VW of America's insitance on only advertising for the Jetta. Seriously, did anybody see any Beetle TV commercials when they redesigned it last year?

Also, the new Mini bus is suppose to be coming out in a couple years. can't have two retro models.
