Charging Malfunction

Well I finally got Miss Mini out of the shop. Early last Fall I got the 'Charging Malfunction' warning message and ended up having to be towed home. With Winter coming on I just parked the car as I had no plans to drive it in the snow anyway. So last week I got it to the shop and the alternator was the culprit. The shop did not want to put an after market unit on it as they have had premature failure them. So the replacement was an OEM unit from BMW and $2200 later I am a happy camper.
