As a JBE for an r56 cooper s or JCW seems next to impossible to find new to have programmed for the car- can one find a used JBE and have it programmed to their car? I have placed several orders that have been cancelled due to a back order from FCP and ECS. I spoke with my local mini parts department and he says they can order one per week, and it is first come first served...if one is in their possession and it needs it then that is where the JBE goes. I'm tired of running around looking for one. Can a used one be re-programmed for me?

 

I have a 2010 base, curious if I pull a used JBE from a 2012 S, will it work if I install it match all the fuses up and have the dealer reprogram?

My big concern is the serial numbers don't completely match

There's a recall on these. Maybe that's why part was unavailable. Check with your dealer to see if your car falls under recall.

R58/R59 version just came back into stock right now. My r58 was not covered under the recall. Yep, Only select years and models.
