Thermostat to Crossover Pipe.

I can’t seem to get my crossover pipe to sit in my thermostat properly. The water-pump side is fine and it’s clocked properly See attached.

Will this leak? If so are there any tricks?

Been 6-7 years since I did this, I did the thermostat, crossover pipe and water pump all at the same time, is everything loose and able to move a bit? Can't quite remember which side I locked in first sorry, I think that I lubed up the seals on the pipe with a little silicone grease first.

The thermostat will not seat into the tube with the wire clip in there. The clip is installed after the thermostat is inserted to the tube.

I got it in. I ended up replacing the housing as well. Prior to install I marked the housing and pipe to ensure it was clocked properly. I think previously it was a bit off.
