2012 Justa kicks the bucket

Got a 2012 Justa that blew a gasket after overheating. Lower radiator hose was torn, and drained the coolant out. Car shut off while driving, limped off the road...There she was dead @264,597mi

Did you never see a yellow temp warning light before it went full red kaplut?
If not then a temp gauge on these is really a must

I wasn't driving the vehicle when it happened. I would guess so. It did throw a knock sensor code tho

Head gasket doesn't mean dead - why not repair? I blew a head gasket around 110k, limp mode temp light. Sat for a year or so until I could get to it. Had the head gasket done in 2 days. Granted R53, so would be a different procedure, but not a tough job - so long as nothing else is toast. Just have to get the head re-decked because the aluminum tends to very slightly warp when it overheats. You got a lot of miles on that car - keep it going!

my biggest concern is the block, and any damage that may have occurred. Alli can say is when adding water for the flush, it was pouring straight into the oil pan

I've done a headgasket on one with no issues. Same deal, lower rad hose tore open on road debris.
