R56 Expand bolt size for thermostat housing

Expand bolt size for thermostat housing
So as title says, are there any issues expanding bolt size from M6 to M8 on the bolts for the thermostat housing, specifically the one closest to the crossover-pipe? Threads are a bit messed up and any M6 bolts just slips.
