Has anyone tried this combo? Would it make any difference? I just ordered a gfb dv+ to replace my stock dv and was wondering if i should switch the springs also

 

The Alta spring won’t work with the DV+

The only part you use from the OEM valve is the actuator body:

Anyone have tips on working on the DV? I put the Alta spring in and it was a pain.

I have a new DV on order and dont want to spend an hour cutting my hands up like last time.

 

Installing/working on mine is pretty straight forward. I remove the intake pipe, move the coolant can out of the way and use a long allen wrench on the dv housing bolts. I hook the closed end of a wrench on the end of the allen wrench to loosen/tighten the dv bolts. Gives me some extra leverage

 

I like the little extra “pep” the gfb dv+ gives, but i sure do miss the little turbo whistle the mini had with the stock dv
