Ok guys, I’m officially baffled. My Mini remote has a range of about 5 feet. I have one of the round remotes that has the soldered batteries. I thought it might be a bad battery so I replaced the battery with a fresh battery but it still has no range. Both of my remotes work when I am within 5 feet of the car but if I get any further away than that they don’t lock or unlock the car. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info but that’s not my issue. Mine is way worse than that. I think my receiver is going out. Apparently it’s in the rearview mirror.

 

It is in the rear view. It does get better reception from in front of than behind the car if that helps. But try holding the key up to your jaw anyway. Grocery getter drivers see you do that will think you're crazy but MINI drivers see that will smile and nod.
