I have ordered a Armytrix decat DP with their "cat simulator" for my R56 S along with a Invidia Q300 exhaust in the next couple weeks to replace the straight pipe.

I am wondering if Armytrix's cat simulator works (they said it does on their Mini). It's not a huge deal if it doesn't as I plan on going with a tune next summer anyway.

 

It’s most likely just a screw in extension that goes into the bottom o2 sensors port. P0420 will be the code you throw if it throws one, and it doesn’t effect the car’s performance. Once you get tuned they should be able to take care of that pesky code for you.

WOW that's expensive for a a decat pipe! I haven't heard of anyone NOT getting an O2 sensor code with a decat downpipe. They are all pretty much the same, too, apart from minor fitting differences.

The Miltek is known for fitting really well, and is less than half the price of the Armytrix pipe:

I didnt even look at that prices, but damn that is alot, pretty much the cost of an exhaust system.

 

Armytrix is insane when it comes to cost, they make Akrapovic look like a cheap aftermarket company. The company and the distributor both say the cat simulator works so we'll see
