R56 Carquest Alternator
I do have experience on other Euro models... Why not take it out and have it rebuilt by a local expert? I think this is the best bet. Otherwise, If it is not a Valeo, Bosch or “Genuine BMW” (whatever that means) I would not use it. I would also stay away from remanufactured items as quality is variable even within the same company. It comes down to just some hourly worker taking it apart and hopefully doing a good job putting it back together. The OEM suppliers quality control is usually a bit better.
Never used them.
I have replaced the alt on my R52 once ( its up to almost 300K) and the R56 once. They dont go all that often. I went with valeo on the one and Bosch with the other, Bosch gives you like 1 year roadside assistance also. We offer a 1 year but if you have any issue we are here for you.
