Upcoming Service Projects

I’m going to do the following services next weekend..Wondering if there is anything I’m missing..

1) oil filter housing gasket
2) oil cooler gasket
3) valve cover gasket
4) spark plugs
5) oil change
6) vacuum pump
7)air filter

Any other no brainers while I’m digging in?

Having it that far apart is a good time to upgrade to our stainless oil line kit

When you replace the oil filter housing gasket you'll dump alot of coolant, so you might as well do a coolant flush. Drain both oil and coolant at the beginning of the services. +1 to way's recommendation of turbo oil line, you have everything apart at that point and it's a known point of failure.

What about timing chain tensioner? Is that a fairly accessible change out?

On a basic Cooper, very easy, removal of air intake pipework to gain access. On an S, bit more to remove. Guides at Pelican Parts and Youtube.
