Tuning questions!

New to the whole turbo world. I want to turn up on the boost on my n14 2010 Mini Cooper S. just curious if you can tune a stock ecu? Or do I need something aftermarket. Or can I just go and have it dyno tuned?

Use this link --- http://www.manicmini.com/home/4584743152 to find and work with your closest Manic tuner. They can do a lot to improve a stock MCS.

Yes tuning is the best bang for the buck for the R56 MINI as we do them all the time and are a manic dealer. Just ship the ECU in and we flash it and ship it back.

If you can't find a local Manic installer, and you decide to mail the ECU, be careful removing it. Here's a link to a popular illustrated parts list --- http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select Enter the last few characters of your VIN or select your car from the options shown. When browsing, the holder can be found under Engine Electrical System / Bracket Control Unit. This bracket has a couple tabs holding the ECU in place --- it's sort of like dis-engaging some of the electrical connectors. They're long and fragile, be careful.

I also highly recommend Manic's SPS box --- it allows you to easily switch between three Manic maps and a fourth map of your choice, usually the OEM map. Again, get details from the installer of your choice.
