New to forum

Hello everyone, I just thought id introduce my self as I'm new to the forum.

I grew up working on minis with my father, Jason. (Wilmington NC) We rebuild dozens of r53s and rebuilt probably around 20 r56 engines and done about 75+ timing chains for them, and not to mention a few automatic transmission rebuilds.

I mainly work on the new chevy LSX engines but I know minis inside and out (literally).

We own probably 2 dozen minis, and 3 of which are r56 jcws, the rest are just "s".

I see many questions on the forums and I just thought it would be great for me to share my personal experience and help some people out by sharing my knowledge.

I look forward helping some people out, if you have any questions about r53 or r56 minis, please feel free to pm me and If be more than happy to help you out

Welcome to the forum. Through the years it has given me a lot of info to keep my two mini's running correctly, and avoid unnecessary repair bills.

With your background in Mini's, I can't see that you won't be a valuable source of info.

Nice! I'm new also, and while I've never had a mini until now, I want to treat it the best I can. I have always done SOME of my own maintanence. Oil changes, brake work, coolantReplace, etc. I am a machine tool guy by trade...CNC lathes, mills. Aps Eng now. Started in the 70's so I'm "seasoned"! Not car related so much, but I understand precision, quality workmanship, etc.
I'll be checking in with some questions soon....compiling information, etc. thanks for you offer to help.
