R56 OEM Sunroof Sunshade will not block the sun
maybe this stuff is worth a shot. Pretty cheap, put up for summer and remove for winter.

Maybe saving others some time, I spent an hour making a cutting template, only to learn that the thing can be cut exactly rectangular. Measure length and width, straight edge cut, round the corners a bit. There is a wide black margin on the glass so you can stand a bit of slop in the cutting and never see it. I could probably do it again in a half hour.
Opinion, what a world of difference, no more glare.
5% is not as dark as I'd like but ok.
Now who wants to take bets on how long before it falls on my head

Sunshade...
My sunshade thingy is loose. So my plan is to take it out and see if I can replace the fabric. I don't yet know how likely this is, but as long as it's thin enough and the springs are good it should work. I figure. Just my thoughts. The only issue I can immediately see is lining the edges with something flexible that will reinforce the fabric. Similar to the OEM shade.
