R56 Radio Display Freeze

This morning my radio left side display is freeze.
It is not dead but is it totally freeze with radio on or off.
Radio functions seems to be totally OK

When key is removed, radio display is totally off, but when you insert the key with o without turning the radio off, the left side still is freeze.

I could see many threads here about faulty display (partial dead, smooth, etc) and the solution was changing the radio.

I was thinking in disconnecting the battery some hours to get a radio "reset" but I'm afraid about getting the things worse...

RADIO OFF:

RADIO ON:

JUST FOR THE RECORDS:

Disconnecting the battery for about 4 hours was the trick.
Solved.

The display froze when the vehicle was turned off after all the night.
Could it have been the low temp?
At that time, the temperature was around 0ºC (32ºF)
