Interchangeable Parts

Hello,

I went to the dealership recently to see what was wrong with my lights. Turns out my Driver-side Tail light has a melted bulb socket. They want to me pay $250 for a brand new light assembly. So I'm wondering if I can just go to the junkyard, get an assembly from another R56 mini, and have a mechanic put it in for cheaper.

My Mini is a 2011 Cooper S Hatchback.
Thanks in advance.

I have a pair for sale, $130 and they are yours. Came out of a 2011 JCW

No thanks Twister, I'm only looking for the left side light, and I'd prefer to get it from a local source (i.e. junkyard) if possible

Sounds like you just need the bulb carrier. Look at www.realoem.com to get an idea.

Wow that's expensive. Since you have a 2011 you could get the factory MINI black light kit we have for less than $200 and sell the left over lights to get some money back.
