Intercooler or catless downpipe

I need to know which application will yield the greatest horsepower increase, catless downpipe or intercooler? I wish I could go ahead and do both at the same time but that option is not available right now since my family trumps my car. Which one will give me more bang for my buck? I can buy either one for the same price.

The Downpipe will give you more seat of the pants power. I would suggest getting an intercooler closer to summer time and then get an ECU you tune

Agreed. Not sure where you live Kc but the DP with no other changes will net more top end HP. Without a tune however you will note a small loss in bottom end torque and of course the eventual check engine light. The Intercooler will make less HP but net a safer increase. These cars detonate even on the stock tune and lowering intake temps reduces the chance of that occurring. Here in Florida it's in the 80's in February and I recommend an FMIC even for those running Stage 1.

I live in Georgia so it does heat up significantly in the summer. So, I guess that answers my question. I'll get the downpipe now and get the intercooler in a couple months. Thanks guys!
