I know its been covered a million times but I have an SRS light on that I cannot get to go away. My son unplugged the seat sensor for some reason and has been driving around for 4 months with the light on. Didnt bother to tell me until I sold the car to a co worker. Now I can't get the light to go off. The sensor is plugged back in . I don't really feel like driving 100 miles to a BMW dealer or paying them to do it. I picked up a C310 , which of course doesnt actually clear the light. Looks like it works on the earlier models but SRS menu doesnt even come up in the C310's R56 menu.

Is there a plug in tool I can buy for less than $100 that will actually do the job?

Try carsoft I910. Or, what are the options that you have on the C310. Sometimes the module is called MRS too.
