Wire size question.

Okay I got a question about proper wire size long story short I have to wire the joystick for the radio / navigation controls and the electrical connector that I receive from BMW has two pin sizes those sizes are .75 millimeter and the other one is .2 - .5 millimeters my question is are these going to be a proper size for that joystick control and same question is going for the navigation screen wiring because I'm retrofit oem nav into my car. I was going to use .75 for the power and ground wires and the smaller .2 .5 wire for the other wiring which is for can high and low.

Generally speaking wire sizing is determined by the maximum continuous amperage draw expected and the type of insulation used. Most wire used in the Mini are rated to at least 105°C. So wire selection would be as follows:
24 gauge - .5mm 2.5 amps
22 gauge - .65mm 3 amps
20 gauge - .81mm 4 amps
18 gauge - 1mm 6 amps
16 gauge - 1.3mm 7 amps

In your application there should be no issues using the size wires you've selected.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of electrical but as long as people say it will work I will feel comfortable using the wires I have.
