My 2007 Mini S has 2 red lights on the rear right under the rear bumper the bulbs are fine but don't know what they are for. Is there a swich or something I'm missing? Is it fused?

 

Can you post a pic? You aren't talking about the reverse fog lights are you?

Those should come on ONLY with fogs. At least in all European cars that I've owned.

Those are the rear fog lights, they come on when the toggle switch in the center console is activated. The front fog light is the 2nd from the left in the middle console (below AC controls), and the rear fog light should be 4th from the left. The symbol looks like front fog lights except backwards.

on a 2007, if you did not order the rear fogs there are black plugs in that rear grill where the lights would go. That's how mine came and I disliked the look that 'something was missing' in the grill altho the fact I did not have the function didn't bother me (don't get much fog in my part of Florida)

The light fixtures are inexpensive and install in about 90 seconds a side. That';s what I did, put the lenses in but never hooked anything up . . . could be yours is the same - if you don't have the switch ...
