Winter tire question?

This is my first mini s and my first true set of winter tires. Is it normal for the car to feel "floaty"? I didn't get runflats and my origional tires were pretty sticky and thats what I was used to. I'm guessing with the winter tires being a soft compound the car will feel floaty. Normally in sport mode if you grab the wheel the damn car will respond so fast you break your neck. Now with winter tires you grab the wheel and the car feels like a cloud. Soft and floaty. I'm guessing this is normal, but man is it night and day difference! I hate it haha.

That's pretty normal for snow tires.

Sounds right.
I go the opposite direction, RF's for winter tires, and non RF's for the summer tires. First few miles on the summer tires feel a little "squishy" following the changeover.
The softer composition of the winters makes it feel a little floaty, even being RF's, and like they are trammeling.
You'll get used to the feel.

Normal. You'll find that as it gets colder, the tires will feel less floaty.
