I'm running the Spec D black projector (Justa 2010).
The look is just amazing (my car is chili red with black roof/wheels).

Not, but ECS is a good and recommended seller (nice experience with they).
And $300 is a nice price too!

Check the high/low beam function so you should know how it works.
In my case high beam canceller was deleted and it is working as OEM.

Couple options : Spec D, Spyder, and Depo. Most are for Halogen headlight cars. Syder , has an option for factory Xenon with i am running.

ECS: Sypder for pre 9/2009 with Xenon's?

ECS-
Do you know if Spyder is going to come out with lights for cars assembled before 9/2009 that came equipped with Xenons? I see on your site that their lights will work on our cars if we replace the ballasts with a later part number.....but those things are expensive....

I have not heard anything yet, we found this out when we first had them that they had the 9/2009+ ballast set up. These are the only option new , unless you can find a ~2010 MINI wreaked with xenon lights.

Once you get the old Xenons , you just swap the bulbs and then get those 2 new or used ballast.

I know old thread. But do you remember how you deleted the high beam canceller? Living in the country high beans are a must have and the canceller is the only thing keeping me from jumping on them

My mini has halogen lighting, and ive been wanting to get HID lights but with the black housing similar to how these lights look that ECS posted.
However, ive heard that if your car comes with halogen that its an expensive nightmare to change over to HID "correctly" because many are jimmy-rigging set ups in order to make them work, which can be electronically risky. So can someone shed light on the clear path of providing a list of the exact parts one needs to convert from halogen to HID where it will operate like OEM with no headaches. No headaches means where the low and high beams work as they should just like an OEM HID equipped car does.

I don't know exactly the steps.

That was the explanation that the tech gave me when doing the installation (I believe the signal is being sent throung another pin, in the same way as the "flash" function is).
Surely in any indy install shop you can identify that canceller and go over it with no problems

No headaches at all, really.
You just need to add the VO to your MINI to say it to the ECU that you are running Xenon bulbs instead of halogen bulbs.
If you can't add this VO to your MINI, the Xenon will not work properly when starting the engine and running.

Some people prefer to connect the Xenon directly to the car battery but I don't like that option, I prefer "OEM" install with reprograming
