Rim/Tire Noob

I'm looking for rims and tires for my 2011 Mini Cooper S R56 and I was looking at Japanese Racing JR18 Hyper Black 17x8 ET35 and I was wondering If those would fit on a stock suspension. I have no idea what tire size id have to get and if they would scrap on the inner fenders etc. If they wont fit please comment what will tire/rim combo size will fit.

OEM tire size for 17s is 205/45R17. If you have 8 inch wide wheels you can bump up to 225 or 235. Stock suspension height you shouldn't need to worry about rubbing unless you were doing anything more than like 55 profile. I'm on lowered springs and I could even probably do 50s without rubbing.

I wouldn't go past 215/45/17 If you're worried about rubbing.
