Was there a program reflash for 2011 Cooper s? like the transmission or something?

I recently took my S to the dealer to almost get ripped off, and when I got it back the trans seems to shift differently. The other day I swear I was in S mode while in auto, I tipped the shifter to manual mode then placed it back in auto after a bit and it was out of S sport, like no DS on the console.

 

Yes there is...There is a software called INPA, look it up and if you can, installed and get the cable too. you can at least see the software dates of the modules in your car.

 

Im talking about a factory reprogram.

 

Yes there is. But, they should have told you if that was the case that they want to update the software.

 

Im thinking the wiped the updated software if that were possible.

 

Usually they have up to date software. Perhaps even if you push the S mode button, moving the shifter to MS and back to Auto, will reset to default mode. Maybe I can try that one my car and let you know.

 

Thanx for the replies. But Im asking if Mini put out updated software for the 2011 cooper s. I kinda think my dealer might have reverted to a previous version if that were possible.

I've been in S mode and went from Auto to MS and back before with out it changing. I tried the other day and it didnt happen. But the shifts in auto feel different in comparison to before I had it serviced
